I am not sure what you are dealing with today.
Maybe you are one small step from doing something that would be harmful.
Maybe you are thinking about eating that extra ice cream bar when you know you have had one too many already.
Maybe you are thinking about saying something that you really do not mean, to someone you love.
Maybe you are neglecting to do the very things you know you should do.
Maybe your day is a little tougher than that. The harm that you are contemplating has a more long term permanent effect.
For anyone struggling day to day to simply make choices that helpful and not harmful, I want you to know that you are not alone. Even when you feel all alone, you are not the only one who has ever felt that way. I struggle to make helpful and not harmful choices with these same things everyday, in little and big ways.
With God and others, we are not alone. We have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who knows this kind of struggle too. He was in all ways tempted as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). As scripture says, “we are all here” and in this journey through life together!
That gives me hope and I pray that it gives you hope too.
